Nassau Harbour Floating Villas
At the Kop-van-Zuid in Rotterdam a beautiful residential area is arising. The most northern part of Feyenoord is surrounded by a river, with a park in the centre and the Nassauhaven. This location requires a special approach with special houses.
Waterarchitect designed on behalf of WaterWonen-Rotterdam twelve luxurious floating homes. The most extraordinary thing about this project is that the occupant can change the view; the house can turn for a better solar angle or view. The design has three relatively closed facades and one facade for the view. The winter sun can get into the home, while it can turn away from summer heat. Smart domotica and sustainable resourcefulness makes these homes an example of luxurious and sustainable living. Design is a co-creation of Waterarchitect and Roos&Ros commissioned by WaterWonen Rotterdam.
